Sweet and Sour

First the sweet!! I finally took Wesleigh outside this morning for a mini photo shoot. She is so much fun to take pictures of. I guess these will be the last pictures before Gracie joins in!! Wow!! That is pretty unbelievable!

She has grown so much this summer! This little dress (from Target) was really big in the spring. It fits her perfectly now! So cute!! (Wish I had gotten 2!!)

Pretty sweet, huh?

So...now for the sour :(
I have shared before how I have really felt under attacked by the enemy since the beginning of this adoption journey. Well...Monday, my dad called and said that my mom was really sick. She was so dizzy that if she moved her head off the pillow, she would throw up. She has been to the doctor, and he is running some tests. She is on meds to stop the nausea, but still can't get up by herself. We are praying for a speedy recovery!! Well, that put a kink in the plans for them to move into my house on Friday! Richard called his parents and they were more than happy to fill in for the weekend while my mom recovers.

Today, my dad told me that someone hit their iron mailbox and broke it in two. Then Richard tells me he got a call from his dad and their toilet blew up!! They have had to pull carpet out of their house and have a huge, disgusting mess! My MIL is still coming tomorrow but my FIL will be coming later so he can deal with their mess. Seriously???? You really just have to laugh at that one!! I am just praying a hedge of protection over my family as we leave. If you think about it, I would appreciate your prayers, as well!!

I am almost packed...so tired of thinking about it! Just ready to get on a plane already!!! One more day until we get on that plane!!!

As soon as I finish writing this I am going to pray for you and your family! God must have BIG plans for this sweet girl, if the enemy is trying so hard to throw his fiery darts your way! I will be praying for you as you travel. I know I will be in your shoes one day, and your blog and story so inspires me as we wait! Blessings...Leslie Bunt

She's got that posing down pat...adorable!! Praying for you and your family. A friend's mother recently just had the same symptoms as your mother. Hers turned out to be vertigo. Weird, since then I've heard of a few more cases of women in their 50's and 60's that have recently been diagnosed with vertigo as well.
Have a great trip,
Lynette in Laf.

W looks so cute in these photo and what a good idea to do them before she has a new sis. It might become hard to focus on just one of the beauties at a time;)

You know I am so so so sorry about your Mom. I have been praying for her and I will pray for everyone.

I cannot wait until you are on the plane relaxing with a beverage and reading a good magazine:)

You leave tomorrow!!!! So excited!

Well... I thought the enemy was camped out in our house. Our I171H update has been delayed - and we are LID 07/14/06 - NEXT! Your family will be covered in prayer - you will have the opportunity to witness the work of our Lord from afar as everything comes together nicely... now go get that precious Gracie!

It is funny how predictable the devil is. During all the missions trips this summer, I can't tell you how many times I heard of a major plumbing issue going on while the husband/father was in Africa or Haiti. The devil can try all he wants, but he isn't going to stop you from the amazing blessings God has for your family. Our familiy will be praying and believing for great things for your family! You are an inspiration to me!

The Leggio Family is lifting your family up in prayer. We too hope to meet our daughter from China. I love keeping up with how God is working everything out for your family. God is so much more powerful than the enemy, and we pray that God will shine through this for healing for your mom and safe keeping over your family, and safe travel for you, and a great Gotcha Day!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I am praying for all of you. A few years ago, I seriously thought something awful was wrong with Ray, same symptoms as your mom. Something was wrong with his inner ear. For a couple of years, we had to keep prescriptions of something with us. It helped with the vertigo. I hope you get a quick easy fix.

GORGEOUS pictures! She's a doll and your skills are amazing! I will definitely be praying for your family while you are away. After taking your second trip, maybe you could post a list of do's and don'ts on things to pack?
Can't wait to see pictures of you guys with Gracie!

God has already got you covered my dear. The Devil is always his busiest when there is any hint of happiness or good. So you know what? We are going to REBUKE, DENOUNCE and IGNORE him!!! He has no place here!!

Saying prayers for your mother and praying for a good plumber for you in-laws :).

Love the photos of Wesleigh! Saw them on fb and wanted to comment on them this morning, but my phone was just in "stand-by" mode! Guess that old devil is trying everything huh? :)

Still in continued prayer for you and Richard as you travel to your precious girl.

Praying for safe travels.

These photos are just adorable. You are doing so great.

I took Lisa's class in March, but I've not had much time to practice!

Can't wait to follow your China journey.

The enemy always attacks right before God does something absolutly amazing. Hmmm, wonder what that could be??? Praying for your mom, your in-laws, and the rest of your family during your travels and transition. God is at work so the enemy is on the prawl. He was defeated long ago so go in peace and leave it in God's big hands.

Love the new pics of Miss W and her adorable dress.

Can't wait to see Gracie in all her new outfits you've packed. No doubt she will be dressed to the hilt.

My stars! Their potty actually 'blew up'? I am agreeing with you in Jesus' Name about the hedge of Protection over you and yours and me and mine as I pray it with you. The devil and his helpers will leave you and yours and me and mine alone in JESUS' NAME! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

What precious photos of your beautiful girl!!! Love the cute dress too ;)
I'm so sorry for your mom, and your in-laws and family (including you) for all of the stress and warfare you are experiencing!!! I agree with the earlier comment that God must have BIG plans for sweet Gracie and for your family in order for Satan to fight so hard! hang in there - you're almost in China!!!!

Sara :)

PS
have you read the book "the strength of mercy"? It is the adoption story of the Beazley family who went on to found All God's Children adoption agency, and tells the story of the adoption of their daughter that began it all, and all of the spiritual warfare they encountered right up to the steering wheel coming out of their car on the day they were finally leaving for the airport to get their sweet girl! I was so encouraged by that story as we waited and experienced our own warfare. Hang in there!!!
