What a Weekend!

We had an amazing weekend at the ballpark. 2 games on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Each game was so exciting! Our team worked so hard, and won the whole thing! It was the best baseball we've ever played. Richard said he thinks he'll have a heart attack one day on that field. I know what he means, I think I might have a heart attack sitting in the stands!! I am so proud of Braden. He works so hard out there and doesn't let his teammates down. He loses his voice anytime we have a couple of games because he is constantly cheering for and encouraging his teammates.

We played about an hour away and didn't end up making it home until about 9:30 last night. Everyone was filthy and exhausted. We are still dragging, but don't have time to rest. Bryce is playing right now and the other two have games tomorrow. Every night this week, there is at least one game. I love it, I just wish school would stop getting in the way!!
I love this picture of Braden. In between games, our whole group would go behind the field and hang out while we waited to play again. The weather was perfect. This is Braden's way of taking it easy.
The Rays, showing off their proud smiles and their hard-earned trophies.
My happy, filthy, exhausted, proud little boy. Those pants will not make it to see another game (They're supposed to be white). He tore right through the knee sliding into home. He thought we should frame them :)

Baptized!

All three boys were water baptized at church tonight. This started with Bryce coming home from his jr. high service Wed. wanting to get baptized. Today, the other two decided they would join him. I am so proud of them. They were so cute going into the pool together. I love that they were all able to do it at one time. Our pastor has known me since I was in high school and he was in bible college, so he was very excited to see the next generation living for God.

Cade's Debut

As I am sure you've guessed, we're still baseball'n it around here. I just received Bryce's game schedule to add to the, already packed, calendar I already have. What do you do? Oh well, I love it. I just can't wait till school's out!! 4 more weeks!! I can't wait!

Here are a few pictures of Cade during their first tournament. They won one game and lost 3. They were tough. Richard actually got thrown out of his first game. He was a good sport about it, but Cade was on the mound at the time. He was so mad that the ump had thrown his dad out that he turned into a pitching machine! He had this grimace on his face, and I think the other team (who were winning 14-0) were really scared of him. He was proud of himself.

Here's the coach, on the outside of the fence.

And here is Cade pitching. Of course, my camera was in the car when he was pitching with such force. I made Bryce go run and get it, but I was too late. These are from the next day when he was brought in to get the last out. He did a great job, and was feeling really great. Then they went out to shake hands with the other team, and he completely tripped over the pitcher's mound! It was hysterical. God's way of keeping him from getting the "big head", I guess.

It's our spring break over here, this week. It has been great! We went to the beach for a few days, and I've just been around the house trying to catch up on some things (laundry, vacuuming, Walm*rt, etc.) Braden has been in Kansas with a friend turkey hunting. This is the longest we've ever been separated from one of our kids. Used to be that any time you took one of the three out of the pack, things would be so peaceful. It never really mattered which one you took. Well, things have changed. Evidently, Braden is the peacemaker around here because Bryce and Cade have fought the whole time. They have already gotten in big trouble and I have a feeling it's not over yet!

The Birthday Boy

We had Cade's birthday party at Laser Tag. It was easy enough. All you do is just show up. When Bryce and Braden were little, I used to do the elaborate themed parties with these huge, expensive cakes. They were adorable, but I'm so over that! These days, I'm going for the easy out. Have the party and go home.

Cade was so excited about his birthday. The whole day he kept saying, "This is the best day! I am officially 8!" I don't know if he was un-officially 8 at some point, but now its official. It may have to do with the fact that he is so big. Everyone always thinks he's much older than he really is.

Are you wondering what in the world I'm doing posting at this early hour? I guess I just wanted to torture myself today, so I woke up at 5:05 and thought it was 6:05 and started my day! I didn't realize it until I had already washed my hair. I knew if I got back in bed, that would be the end of me, so here I am.

Enjoy your day...the weekend is almost here!
