One Month

One month ago today, these two little girls began their lifelong journey as sisters.  What a priviledge it has been to watch this special bond form.  We still have quite a ways to go, but the progress we have made to this point is nothing short of amazing.

Wesleigh was definitely feeling territorial the first week or so, but after we got over that, these two have been completely willing to share their lives with the other...well most of the time.  They just accept the fact that they are sisters...and that's that.

For two little ones who both got their worlds completely rocked...I'm pretty impressed.  Not to say we don't have our challenges...but today I am celebrating something pretty amazing...Sisterhood! sept 26 (3 of 3)smitten sept 26 (2 of 3)

(Yes...we are still wearing summer clothes :(  When it's still in the upper 80's, it's all we can do!)

They are precious. We are hopeing to have our sweet baby girl Mia by march or April. I am so happy for yall. It is neat to see the two girls together. I was already feeling God calling us to go back and get a sister for Mia. I understand the heat, here in Texas it has been on long hot, dry summer. So happy for your family. :)

Love these photos of your beautiful girls! Any tips on how they adjusted together so well so quickly - not too late to add to your Questions part 2 post:)? Does one act more like the older sister? Are you glad they share a room? Blessings, Cindy

What beautiful photos of your sweet girls together! I think you should frame the first one - you definitely succeeded in capturing the two together in a beautiful portrait - it is gorgeous!!! I especially like the last shot - I think it is so precious, and gives a glimpse into their bond as sisters :)Wish I was using my skills from Lisa's class as well as you - I need to get out and take some pictures!!!

To look at these pictures, you would never know they just met 1 month ago. Truly an answer to prayer and a testimony to how wonderful and amazing our God truly is.

What beautiful pictures. So cute that they are checking out the label on Gracie's pants. Are you growing out Gracie's bangs? She looks pretty either way and is so photogenic.

I'm keep wondering about Gracie's foster parents. Did you get to meet them? Do you have pictures of them for her? Thanks for sharing your journey.

I love the pictures and the outfits in the top one! Any idea what pattern your friend used!? I'd love to make something from it for my girls!

It's still warm here too, today they are saying 95!
