Class of 2014

I'll be honest...I don't like it one bit!!  Bryce got his class ring right before the holidays and it was pretty much a slap in the face to this mama!!  I just can't believe it.  I cannot believe that Bryce has one more year of high school!  How does that happen??  He's having a great junior year and I have enjoyed every bit of it.

It's not often that any of the boys will ask me to take their pics but Bryce could not wait for me to snap some pics of his ring.  I was more than happy to oblige.  I guess it's almost time to think about senior pics...Lord, help me!  Next fall, I will have one starting his senior year and two starting kindergarten!!!!

Oh how I love this boy.  He has grown up to be a funny, compassionate, amazing young man (with a touch of sarcasm that warms my heart :)  He is about 5'10" now and we think he'll squeak out a couple more inches before he's done.  He is loyal to his convictions and will tell his mama he loves her, even if he's with his friends.  He is responsible and considerate and watching him with his sisters could make anyone fall in love with him!  He's a blessing and I thank God for him every day.

As much as I wish I could freeze time, I am also so excited to see what Bryce does with his life.  I know God has big plans for him!!

Ohhh the DREADED CLASS RING!! I can remember CRYING as my oldest daughter searched for the "PERFECT CLASS RING"! I just couldn't help it!! This was "the same baby" that I searched for the perfect little "baby ring" when she was born, now we are at the point of a class ring...I knew it the future, it would probably be a WEDDING RING!! My heart was overflowing.

As we sat and looked at "the perfect ring" we did moved on to the "extracurricular" activities that was gonna adorn that "dreaded ring". As we sat and giggled, my heart became a little lighter as I began to look at it as...growth. Not growth from me...but as a transition into another phase "of my baby girls life". I made it thru the "1st day of Kindergarten", her 1st tooth loss, her first day of Middle school, the first school dance, the first heartbreak...then surely I could make it thru THE DREADED CLASS RING! Then GRADUATION NIGHT came and I was a TOTAL MESS!! Talk about UGLY CRY!! Ohhhh my!!! All this to say.....stack up on the kleenex and forget about "perfecting an UGLY CRY", it's just not POSSIBLE when you are a Mom!!

Message to Bryce: You are every bit of an amazing young man that your Mom shares with us about you. Your personality shines thru photos. I gotta admit...I love your SARCASTIC and ANNOYED looks at the camera! They soooo remind me of my sons when they were your age. Bryce, keep on being the amazing your man you are!! Wishing you a continued and successful JUNIOR YEAR and remember...SENIOR YEAR is EVEN MORE AWESOME!!!

Sorry sista....those look like senior pics to me. My girl is the same age and I can't wrap my mind around the fact that she will be leaving this home in about 18 months. Makes me want to sit in the corner and suck my thumb. Let's hope 2013 doesn't fly by as fast as this one did.

this gives me so much hope that my almost 12 year old will be the same way when he is a little older...your Bryce sounds so much like my Brendan, and I am so afraid he will grow out of his loving personality.

Awesome photos of your very handsome son! He and Rosie are the same age. She chose not to buy a class ring but hope to give her a piece of jewelry next year when she graduates. I can't believe they will graduate so soon~ really before we can turn around. Blessings and love!!!
