The Kind of Family...

I shared this picture before, but it takes a new meaning today. Cade went back to school after the holidays and shared with the class that he was glad Santa brought Wesleigh a baseball glove. "He knows what kind of family she's getting into". I love the way he worded it, whether he meant to or not.

This is a picture that came with our last update. Something about it tells me she might be prepared to "get into" this family! I think she's going to do just fine bossing those three brothers around!

so cute!!! I thought for sure my girls would be taking up baseball/softball since they have 4 very athletic brothers...but my 4 year old is Miss Prissy and my 7 year old has decided that sports is not her thing..not sure what her thing is really LOL
I love the second picture LOL

Love Cades comment and the picture is priceless. I am sure she will have her brothers wrapped around her finger so fast! Praying for you daily.

Oh Wesleigh looks like she can "hold her own" :-) I never noticed the mandarin in her hand before!! And the look on her face? Priceless - I can just hear her little chatter in Chinese..I can't wait for you to hear it in person! Oh, Jennifer - she is so gorgeous! I too am storming the gates of heaven for your baby girl!!

OMG, You have a girl! I have not checked Blogs in an aweful long time and I was thrilled to see that you got a referral and will soon be traveling to China to get your little girl! Congratulations! I will be following more closely from now on. I need to go back now and read all about your awesome news! We will have to get our China girls together this summer. Congrats again!

She will definately be, as Macie says, "the boss of the boys" LOL

It's fun to watch! Macie had her 3 big brothers playing ring around the rosey on the trampoline her first week home from China!!! LOL

That is perfect-- totally can hold her own. That is what is so funny about our little girls. They look so little and sweet and people look at Mia (all 26 pounds of her at 3 years old) and think "oh what a sweet little thing-- she must be so quiet and girly". Ummmmmmm NO!!! Girly maybe but quiet-- heck no! She is loud and bossy and can totally hold her own against any kid. She is a type A leader and it works well in our family-- besides the many headaches she causes me. That is just awesome and I love that your little girl is going to be a spitfire-- just like my little girl-- is she from Hunan? cant remember but those Hunan girls are spicy little things!

Hugs,

Christy :)

I must say that orphanage life had definitely taught our little girl to hold her own. She has no problem living in a house full of boys and has never complained.

I have been praying for your situation. I remember the pain of the wait. I pray you will hold Wesleigh soon because the wait is all forgotten once you wrap your arms around that precious girl.

Checking daily for good news!
