Guangzhou!!

We have had a busy day in Guangzhou. We started early in the morning and got our physical exam done. I don't have a picture of that on our camera because Richard and the boys stayed at the hotel while Wesleigh and I went. I didn't think I could juggle the camera and everything else...and I was right. Wesleigh has decided that the stroller is of the devil, and it's killing my arms!!!!! She did let the boys hold her tonight and it was a welcome relief! I'm sure as bonding goes, it would probably be a little better to not have the boys doing so much for her, but I have to say...it's so nice that they can help. I do make sure Richard and I are the ones that feed her, but if she insists on being held all the time, Bryce is going to get his fair share ;) She is venturing out a little more. She will walk down the hall with us and lets me leave the room if she's busy with the boys. She walked through our room by herself to find me in the bathroom earlier...and she wasn't crying!!! Richard is playing with her trying to make friends as I type. I sure hope she warms up to him soon. It will make life alot easier. Tomorrow we have our paperwork party, so I'm going to leave Richard and the kids for a couple hours tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping big strides can be made while I'm gone. Prayer for that to happen would be appreciated. He's being very patient about it and his head understands it. That doesn't help his heart, though.

I have been getting a good bit of teasing for my collection of bows. I LOVE it! They annouced on the bus that I would have to take her bow off to get her VISA photo and everyone thought that was hysterical. (she's the only one wearing a bow) I announced that I thought it was discrimination against southern bowheads!! You missed her first outfit today because she pooped all over it. I can tell you that is was very cute. When I get the picture from the other family, I'll share it ;) Here are a few pics of the day.. We get to go shopping in the morning and I can't wait! Squeeky shoes...here I come!!!!

Reid...give me your email address so Bryce can answer you back ;) He can't wait to show his sister off to you!!

Hi!
It just makes me so happy to post these updates where each day Wesleigh is coming into her own... I love how the petals slowly fall and open up on these children.. The "Tea Cup" looks so comfortable with her big brothers.. And, WOW does she look like them in some of these photos! Again, God just knew!!

Richard, I will be praying specifically for you! I think it is great that you will have some alone time with her. Maybe you can take her on a stroll by yourself, or to the park by the hotel too. I don't know if you have found it yet, but there was a playground in the courtyard at your hotel too with a slide, etc...

Love the BOW comments.. That girl knows how to wear them!!!

Hugs,
Diana

P.S: How in the world can "Tea Cup" be the only one in your group wearing a bow! You are with an agency based in VA for goodness sake!! :) Where are the other Southern Mom's? Thank you for staying true to your "southerness" It is so fun to see what each new day brings on WJ's beautiful head!!! I promise my MN girl will be sporting some bows.. Let's hope she likes them!!! :)

Love Her!!! And, you too!!

it's cute that your getting teased by here bows. Yesterday I wore one of my moms bow's from college. They couldn't beleive that that wasn't my biggest one!! I can't wait to see Wesleigh in Febuary! I hope she warms up to me really fastly. Maybe she can do some gymnastics when she gets older. It's so sad that people have to give up there precios little girls and boys. I are so lucky that I get to have 3 adopted cousins. She is sssooooo cute!! Madelyn

I too love reading about your journey every morning and seeing the progress. Wesleigh is just more adorable each day....and in each new outfit!! As a "boy mom" I would be all over the bows too!! Don't let anybody give you a hard time about them!! It's great seeing how comfortable she is with the boys. Trent says "Hi and Congrats" to Richard and tell him to hang in there!! We would love to meet her the next time you're in Houston!!

That's funny about the bow...they let Olivia keep hers on for her Visa photo! I can so relate to having tired arms. When you aren't used to carrying a little one they seem way heavier than they are. She looks adorable and happier every day!

I'm so happy she's starting to warm up to Richard-praying for huge strides in that very soon. She'll come around and it sounds like he's doing a wonderful job with her! It won't be long before she won't let him go :)

praying for you all!!!!!

The audacity to not let your tea cup wear her bow in her visa picture (Mya had one on in HERS!)

I am sorry about your arms! i KNOW what you mean about WANTING to bond, but it being painful! My arms KILLED me in China - Mya was right around 28#, i LOVED the stroller :) We bonded plenty in the room :)

I see a little more sparkle every day in WJ's eyes!! Makes me smile!

I think my favorite picture so far might be the one of those two handsome brothers holding their little sister's hands. I love it!

Praying that Wesleigh warms up to Richard before your long flight home so that he can help you. I'm glad that the boys are big enough to help hold her, but I know your hubby would like to be doing it too. I'm looking forward to many pictures of that sweet girl with her daddy in the very near future!
