He's Nothing if Not Prepared

Can you tell what Cade has been working on? It's his Christmas List! He has actually been working on it for about a month now, but I never thought he would keep it up. As you can see, it has turned into a 3 page work of art. If you could see the back, you would see the glitter glue. He has cut, taped, colored, and tried to spell anything and everything he thinks he wants. Since he always has it close by, any commercial that comes on TV ends up on the list. The problem is that he assumes if it's on his list, Santa will come through for him. Usually they will tell me things throughout the year that they would like, but always forget before Christmas comes around. Not this year, Cade is prepared. Richard told him the other day that Santa won't bring him everything on his list. His reply, "But I've been working SO hard on it." He has a point. Honestly, makes me want to go out and buy every stinkin thing on there! One thing on the list he definitely won't be getting: a cell phone! He's 6! He thought he was pretty smart writing that down. He smiled at me and said, "I'm putting it on my list so Santa will bring it, that way you can't tell him not to". He has it all figured out.

Yeah, give him a cell phone. A old one that doesn't work! That is too funny.

I love Reese Witherspoon too...

My middle son did that a couple year ago. He wrote, and rewrote, and rewrote. I kept the final one and put it into his scrapbook with his Christmas photos that year.

How can you not grant his every wish after all that effort and faith on his part?!!! Better start shopping now. :D That work of art is definitely a keeper.

When our kids' lists get too long or out of control, we always reminded them that Santa only has so much room on his sleigh.

Hunter, who is 6, thinks the same thing.

That is the cutest thing ever! Can you find a way to keep it for when he is grown? That is just darling.

Chloe asked for a cel phone last week. She was going out to lunch with her daddy and told me if I would buy her a cell phone then she could call me when she is out with dady.
Love his list.:)
