Great 1st Day of School Teacher Gift

I thought I'd let you know what I have done the past few years of school. The first day of school I get each teacher a big bottle of Advil and wrap it up. The note attached wishes them a terrific year and a hope that they will never need this gift. It also says, that in the event that they do need it, I hope that it's not because of my child. It always gets a great response from the teachers. They think it's really funny. And best of all, I earn Mommy points at school!! Just thought I'd share in case you want some extra points too!!

Of course, we wouldn't dare send it with Bryce to Jr. High this year. He would rather die!

Have a great day!

I love it...I sent in some teacher rewards and stickers, but the Advil idea is great! I may do that in December when teaching becomes even more stressful.

Hey, that is a great idea. I will certainly be using this idea when Mallory starts kindegarden. Maybe I need to go ahead and do it in a couple of weeks when she starts preschool. HAHAHA.
Love your blog!

Ok, Im thinking if I were teacher I'd appreciate a big fat bottle of wine! Now that will numb them for the year. lol... good idea though....

that is a good one .. i always earn mommy points ... i take each teacher their favorite drink (flavored water, diet coke, etc), a snack and the magazine REAL SIMPLE and tell them it is for their break to refresh them during the day ... they all love it .. no silly knick knacks coming from the Oatsvall Family ... lol

Well, I am stealing that idea for my 5th grader. Sadly, I know his teacher will need it. Regretfully, I know it will be my son's fault.

Thanks for the idea.
