Disney World Day 2: Magic Kingdom Photoshoot

I truly believe God had a hand in our plans for this second morning.  Most people start planning Disney trips months in advance, but we were more last minute because we honestly, weren't sure we would be able to swing it.  A few weeks before our trip, I started searching for Disneyworld tips online.  One tip I happened across is that if you schedule breakfast in Cinderella's castle early in the morning, you get to go in the park before it opens.  This was exciting to me for one reason...PICTURES!!  I knew that I would be able to get there early and take pics without the crowds of people pouring in at the same time!  I contacted a Disney travel guide about making these reservations and she pretty much told me I would probably be out of luck.  Not only do people start booking these 6 months in advance, Cinderella's castle was actually scheduled to close Monday for 3 months of renovations!  I was disappointed but decided to try to book them myself.  Wouldn't you know...I was able to book 8:20 reservations for Sunday!!  I'm telling you...I have been giddy ever since.  I even had a dream Saturday night that Richard made us late and we missed it.  I pretty much woke up furious at him!  lol...

Before we left town, I had the girls choose the one dress they wanted to wear to breakfast with the princesses.  Gracie chose Rapunzel's wedding dress and Wesleigh chose Belle.  I decided that we would skip the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique because I wanted to do their hair myself anyway.  I found the crowns here in town and brought our own glitter spray too.  It worked out perfectly.

It was so exciting to walk into the park and show the girls the castle.  There were lots of squeals!!  I did not tell them to point their toes.  They picked that up from all the princesses we met the day before!  :)

There it is...the perfect spot!  Not a person or garbage can in sight!  I will treasure these photos forever!

You can't tell, but by this point they had pretty much had enough of my pictures.  They don't lose their patience with me very often, but they were ready to get to that castle!  They were good sports though and I am so thrilled with this shot!

One more favorite...This was not posed in the least.  We were walking around a little bit before our reservations.  This is the "royal dressmaker".  This image captures the moment perfectly.  Do you feel like she's whispering, "wwwooowwwww!"?  She was.  She was taking it all in, and I was thrilled to be there to capture it.

The breakfast that followed was great, but it would have been worth the price, just to get these shots :)  The breakfast was bonus for me!  lol...

The pictures of your girls in front of the castle are beautiful and the one in front of the dress maker shop is so sweet! You were so blessed to get those reservations! We took our girls to Disney in October and started making reservations six months before but missed this one, of course we were a group of 14 so that didn't help! 😊

Gorgeous photos! We were late to our Princess breakfast because we forgot how hard it was to get to Magic Kingdom from the parking lot - so stressful!

LOVE all your Disney photos and how you captured the girls' excitement and joy!

The pictures are all great, but the one of the girls directly in front of the castle are A-MAZING!!!! Blow it up and frame for sure!

Glad you had such a memorable trip! My daddy is a former Imagineer and it brings us so much joy to see kiddos enjoying projects he helped bring to life.
