Christmas Parade

Well, we are just a few days away from Christmas and we are sweating!!!  As much as I really don't like the cold weather, I do find myself a little jealous of those of you who can actually wear sweaters.  We are wearing flip flops and wishing we were at the pool!  Oh well...I still wouldn't want to live in the "frozen tundra" :)

I'm also starting to freak out a little about Christmas. I have 7 preschool days left to get everything done, and we are hosting a "Breakfast with Santa" party next weekend! Yikes! I'll get it done. In fact, I seem to work better under pressure. I don't get anything done until there's a deadline upon me.

We made it to the local Christmas parade yesterday, which Bryce was marching in. The girls have their gym leos on because we had come straight from a birthday party. Boy do these girls love a parade! And everyone loves them back :) They are magnets for the "loot"!

I'm willing to bet there's not many of you who eat watermelon at your Christmas parade :)  lol...

Seriously, this chick is crazy!  I promise, I do not tell her to pose for me!!!  She sees a camera and goes to work!

I was very happy to provide the French horns with their elf hats :)  Bryce mentioned that they wanted Christmas hats.  I can't tell you how proud I was to have these tucked away and actually be able to put my hands on them!!!  lol...  That is a big deal for this blonde!!!

These girls have every daddy wrapped around their fingers...not just their own (who happened to be in the woods).

And, of course, Santa was the big finale.  The girls were just a little excited :)

We haven't visited Santa yet because we have him coming to the house for our party Saturday.  The girls know we are having a party but have no idea that Santa is coming :)  It's a bit of a gamble because of Gracie's reaction to Santa last year:
Christmas 2011 (33 of 41)

I am not expecting the same reaction...hopefully, I'm right!!  Wesleigh, on the other hand, is going to absolutely freak!  She's going to be so excited!

Its freezing here in Texas!! We were just in shorts last week!!! I was glad it DID STAY a little warm to get Christmas card photos taken. Bre and The GRANDS turn to stone when they are cold!!

We took Santa pics a few weeks ago and I swear Bre had a 6-7min conversation with him! I practically had to grab her by the hands and DRAG her away as the other kids waited patiently. She was like "I'm not thru talking to him"!! She is an incesstant talker and is very thorough and he had to repeat back EVERYTHING she told him. Still scratching my head on the HORSE, Saddle and BARN on her list!!! Ummm I think this would correlate with her desire to be a "HORSE RIDER GIRL" when she grows up!

PS Gracie cracks me up, that is SOOOO BRE!! Where Bre learn to STRIKE A POSE I have know idea!!
