Military Ball 2011

Last night was Bryce's Navy Sea Cadet Military Ball.  You might remember that I was in charge of decorating and had been working on it for the past month.  Gracie and I got home at 2:00am and I was setting up for the ball at 10:00.  I have been looking forward to it for months and am just glad we were back in time.

Our venue was outdoors, so I was really worried about the weather.  Turned out to be a beautiful night.  It was pretty cold at the end, but I had decided to trade in my dressy sleeveless number for a cozy sweater dress and boots.  It was the right decision :)

Bryce brought his friend, Mattie. She is adorable and such a good sport to sit through all the awards. They looked super cute together too! Military Ball 2011 (5 of 100) Fuse Military Ball 2011 bryce mattie musette Military Ball 2011 bryce mattie dylan musette

The cake turned out amazing!!  I ordered it from the same girl that did Bryce's birthday cake.  She is so talented!!

The most exciting part of the night was when Bryce was presented with the Theodore Roosevelt Youth Award.  He was the only one who received it and we couldn't be more proud.  It is for his service and dedication to the program.

After the awards, the dance started.  They all had a great time!

What a great example he is setting for his younger brothers and sisters! And such a handsome young man too! He's the real deal and the whole package. You and Richard have every right to be super proud!

Glad you made it back and got everything ready for the ball. Looks like it was a wonderful evening and neat venue if it was down at the USS Kidd. The cake is awesome, too!
Blessings,

Jennifer you look awesome for a woman who got by on a few hours of sleep. Congratulations to Bryce!! What an accomplishment. Looks like a fun night. I say again....nothing is more handsome than a guy in uniform. Add to that a beautiful young lady such as Mattie and that completes the evening.

You did a GREAT job on the decorations. Bryce looks so handsome!!! And you and RIchard look fabulous as always!!! But of course, the most impressive thing is Bryce's award for service and dedication...that is what we want them to succeed in right? Way to go Bryce!!!!!
