Alternate Universe

DSC_9195

Sometimes I feel like I live in some sort of strange reality. Because Bryce is 14 and a boy and Wesleigh is only 2 (and a girl), there is an enormous gap in the activities that are simultaneouly going on in this house.

Yesterday, at one point, there were 10 boys coming in and out of this house. The group above (plus 1 not pictured) all spent the night and spent their time having night nerf wars upstairs and airsoft wars in the woods in an undeveloped filing (during the day). I can't even imagine what the neighbors thought as this crew went walking down the street!! I haven't gotten any complaints yet, but it's still early. lol...bring it on!!!

At the same time, my precious 2 year old was on the couch watching Ariel! The whole scene with these big camo covered boys loading their guns at the kitchen table with "Under The Sea" playing in the background was more than comical to me.

I love both of these universes, and feel so blessed that I get to experience them both! I just never imagined it would all be at the same time!!!!

Happy Monday!!

Welcome to MY UNIVERSE!! I have a gap of a 21yr old college student and a 3yr old preschool student!! In one scenario it's Beyonce dvd blaring, makeup being applied ,high heels and college parties in the other scenario is Barney dvd blaring, makeshift tents being constructed, extreme high energy and birthday parties!!

Add to that "mixture"...our 6yr old, 2yr old, 15mo old and a 5mo old grandkids and its enough to make you crazier "than a road lizard:!! I'm loving every minute of it though!!!

Too funny my friend! Wish we lived closer as I could add my 6 boys to your camo mix and then I could sit down with Wesleigh and watch a princess movie of some sort...and...ya know....put clips and bows in her hair...I am DYING to put bows and clips in somebody's hair!!

Still letting Trent get use to the idea.

Can't wait to share it with you.
And I will definitely let you know!!!
How is it going with you guys? How's the paperwork?
Any news on the little girl?

Loved your Christmas card.
Thanks for getting everyone's addresses.

Oh, when worlds collide, right? I feel that way sometimes when I see Mya chasing the boys playing football...something about pink carrying pigskin looks funny :) And like you, wouldn't have it any other way (well, except for maybe having TWO pinks!)

I saw others asked, but I too would like to know where you've gotten the last few bows we've seen in WJ's hair - the bigger ones! The pink and the even the red & green - look like they came from the same place :) Please share - I need to get RID of all my tiny bows. Mya no longer has a little head and I need some BIG southern bows before she tells me one day she's "done" wearing them.

Sigh!
