What A Year!!

2010 is definitely a year to go down in the books for this family! Wow! When I look back and realize that it was just 11 months ago that we were in China...amazing!! Wesleigh has definitely been the "theme" of the year. Most of our time/energy has been spent making sure she was adjusting well and felt secure and loved. I'm pretty sure we accomplished that, as she has made herself right at home and fit right in to the craziness. She is the most amazing miracle. When I look at her, I can't help but think about her amazing journey to her forever family. She has been through more, in her 2 1/2 years, than most of us in our lifetimes. God has definitely had his hand on Wesleigh from the very beginning. Some ask, "How could God want her to be abandoned". He didn't, but he knew it would happen. And he turned what the enemy meant for harm, into good. I am in awe of all He has done. I am in awe of His perfect timing. I am in awe of a little 2 year old girl, from an orphanage in China, who has turned our lives upside down. She has changed our lives. My boys will never be the same because of her. I will never be the same because of her.

So what does 2011 hold for our family? Not too long ago, I would have said it would be a calmer year. No more paperwork, government agencies (especially USCIS which causes me to have chest pains just saying the name!), no planned life changing events. Hmmm.....well.....looks like it's going to be another exciting year in our house! Yes, as many of you have guessed, we do have news...
We are going back to China!!!

I will post details of where we are in the process in the next few days.

I wish you all a wonderful 2011. I hope that it brings you much joy, peace and love.
Thanks for being a part of my "wild ride"!! This bloggy world has been such a source of support, information, friendship and fun!! Many of you will be making a journey to China in the coming year, and I can't wait to see it unfold!
God is Good!!

Oh my goodness that is not what was I was expecting, but goodness I am so excited and can't wait to live the experience through you.

I want to say those pictures are simply remarkable, what a difference. WJ was beautiful to say the least that first day, but the vacancy in her eyes and expression, and now the pure joy and happiness in her eyes. We all know as IA parents that love does not conquer all, but it sure does help!!!

Happy New Year to your family and wishing you the very best for the wild ride called IA!!! Can't wait to see and hear!!!!

Well my friend.... I am so glad you have chosen this special year end day to announce your news. It is a privilege to be your friend... And, I look forward to seeing the child that God chooses to be Tea Cup's side kick. It has been a blessing to watch that little precious child rock your world, and change the hearts of many! She was born to be yours. Born to be "Tea Cup" D! And, born to have a sister who will share her story!

Praying that the new year brings you that precious child we are both praying for! And if not her specifically, that God's hand will be all over the blue print of the next chapter. And, without a doubt you will know that whoever is next, is the child that God has hand chosen for you! Your daughter, and a sister to some very special children!!! Oh, how blessed this little girl will be!

I can't wait to celebrate AGAIN!!! And, I can't wait to journey with you aagain! It won't be long now!!

I treasure our friendship, and I am VERY grateful for you!

Love,
Di

Having come to your blog after you already had Wesleigh at home, I will likely be glued to my laptop for all of this. :)

Well, there it is - in black & white! Wesleigh Jane is going to have a little sister!!

I love what you said about what God intends for good. It is so true...no, it wasn't His plan for our girls to be abandoned (His plan included us living without sin with Him in the garden). But, we wanted our Independence. Which is why there is evil in the world. And why there is a need for Redemption. I am just thankful that He made a way for us all to be Redeemed!

Can't wait to meet the mei mei in 2011!! Contests and HNE!!

It'a Happy New Year for our family! Wesleigh has made this past one life-transforming for our family. It is a parent's dream to watch the same God given gifts and heart for children that we saw in the little-girl Jennifer grow and develop into a woman who hears the voice and God and acts upon it - and in the process blesses and influences so many. I am so excited and thrilled as I anticipate welcoming TWO more grandchildren this year through adoption! Love, Mama & MawMaw
