Gustav Aftermath

Just thought I'd give you a peek at what our city is dealing with. It is unbelievable to drive around (in such awful traffic) and see all the trees and branches everywhere. I went to our church this morning and helped make plate lunches to send out. Our church feeds about 2000 service people (police, energy workers, etc.) everyday. It was awesome to be able to help a little bit. I am going to go back tomorrow too.
This is what every street looks like as you drive around: piled high with branches down both sides of the road.

When you hear about the "blue tarp roofs" this is what that means. There are houses everywhere that have these tarps covering holes in their roofs.
This is a cul de sac. It is completely piled up with debris.

A neighborhood park.

Gosh, that looks pretty bad. Looks like our neck of the woods after Katrina.
I had to laugh at your post about your uncle buying your boys MSU stuff. I bet it felt weird for them to have on those colors. Now if they would have had gold and black on (GO USM EAGLES!!!), I would have thought rather kindly of your uncle. LOL!!!
Glad to hear all is well with you guys. Love,Adele

I loved the pics of your boys in their MS State gear!!

I didn't see Elizabeth Hasselback's shirt - is it for sale? I need something sassy!!
