A Good Night
We have officially made it through the night. I'm hoping to go back to bed and get a little more sleep, but wanted to check the weather. Thank the Lord, Gustav did not make landfall last night and things were very calm. The couple of times I got up the trees were totally still. I can see now that the winds are definitely picking up, and they are saying we should start feeling some major winds in the next hour or so. I'll feel much better when the sun is up and we can see what's happening. I'm freezing sitting at this computer because we have the air conditioners turned down so low. I guess we're trying to soak it all in : ) I'll post some pictures in the morning if my electricity stays on.

Jennifer,
I have not stopped thinking about you and our friends in NO. The first thing I did (even before coffee) os come check on you.
I was thinking the same thing about making it super cold now in case we lose power for a while. Not sure if Dave and the kids will go for that idea.
Praying hard for safety and no loss.
Hugs,
Kim
I hope you have electricity! We have been praying for all of you.
We also turned our A/C way down for Katrina and froze for the first 10 hours or so ..... but A/C never felt SO good as 19 days later when the electricity came back!!!
We are watching the weather channel and can see that you are getting some pretty bad weather right now. We are praying our way to Hong Kong and hope to get an update when we arrive tomorrow.
