So, I wasn't going to post about football again, but the coach said the funniest thing today when Cade was playing, and I had to share. One of the boys got hurt in a tackle. He was crying and said that his ankle hurt. The coach asked where it hurt and then asked how old he was. The boy said, "8". The coach said, "OK, good, you can't break until you're 9. You're fine." The kid got up and started playing again. It was too funny. So, since we're on the football subject, here are a couple of my favorites from today:
This is Braden playing center. You can see that he is hiking the ball to the coach. In this league, the kids aren't on a permanent team. They get changed around based on their ability level. That way no one gets hurt (hopefully). Also, the coach plays quarterback. The kids get to focus on learning all the other positions. It seems to be a really good way to do it.
And here's the cutie waiting for Cade to play:
So here's the second star, making a run for the goal line. He is such a monster out there. He made the last tackle of the game, and it was a doozie! He just knocked this little boy flat. All the dads were so impressed!
And here he is all sweaty and oh, too cute:
I feel like I am totally leaving Bryce out, but since he's not playing, I don't have football pictures of him! You know I love him, though, don't you?
And, for all of you who live where it actually feels like fall, you should see the sunburn I got today in my tank top and shorts! Our football weather will be here in maybe another month!!
Well, have to go finish the weekly laundry, and prepare myself for another week. Have a great one!

so you decided to keep doing the laundry once a week huh? yuck!;)
I can feel the love you have for your boys in your posts. You are a great mom.
I think that does sound like a good way to learn football with the coach being quarterback.
We had really hot weather last week, this week peaking in the 80's but cool mornings and nights. This is really my favorite. I don't like it much cooler. have a great week.
I love seeing the pictures of their games since I can't be there. I'll bet they are loving it!! Is there anything better than watching doing something they love?
Our fall weather is approaching, cold nights and cool mornings, but in the low 80's some days.
Have fun at the games!!
Deanna
sweaty or not...what a handsome little dude! ;)
So cute in their uniforms!
I have been so behind on reading blogs lately. I am loving all of the pics of your precious and handsome boys. The beach picture is just beautiful!! I know you are a blessed Mom.
Okay, where can I order that shirt??? Seriously, I want one just like it! That is totally my style.
LOve the pics. You have such handsome boys and it is great that they love the game as much as they do.
Have a great week.
Christy :)
Jennifer,
These are great. Will plays flag football (doesn't weigh enough for tackle). He is only 53lbs at 10!
I can never get close enough for good shots!
Kim
Look at those tough football guys! Look out NFL!
That looks like so much fun! Probably not something we will experience often with only girls! With the heat.....I now see why we have a laundry mountain every week!
I love your football news and pictures, great shots!
I guess I better get Ethan out there playing while he's still 8 and can't "break"! :D
Great pictures, you are inspiring me to get a little closer to the action for a good shot. We start games this week! He is such a CUTIE!!
