I got an email a couple of days ago asking if we'd be willing to be interviewed for a video that will be used this week for Adoption Sunday at our church! We go to a very large and influential church in our town, so the video will literally reach thousands...this Sunday!! I am so humbled to have been asked and so excited to see the finished product. I am thrilled to have gotten this opportunity to share my heart. It was alot of fun to shoot and really neat to sit with Richard and listen to his thoughts, as well.
While Richard and I were being interviewed, the boys were upstairs with Wesleigh. One of them got my camera and took a couple of pics through the window. (I've taught them well :)
Just so you know....choosing what to wear was not easy!! I decided to go plain...hope that was the right choice! I will be able to post the finished product when I get it...can't wait!!

I think that is wonderful! I just know that it will be inspiring!
We are so proud of you for following your calling and happy that many will be inspired by your story and your heart. It was evident from your childhood that children were your gift - teaching seemed the choice - but who knew that it was so much bigger than that! Proud of you both and of the boys - blessed to be along for the ride! Mama
I know you will look beautiful! I can't wait to see the interview - I pray it will touch someone who is considering adoption!
Yes--we want to see the final video! What an awesome experience! It is neat to hear a man share his heart on something so sweet. I guess because most men are kind of quiet and don't verbalize thoughts like women do. It makes hearing it from them extra special. We have a small, rural church--we are hoping someone else will be lead to sdopt.
That is SOOO COOL!!!!
Can't wait to see it!!
That is awesome! Can't wait to see it! So cute that the kids took pics:)
what an amazing opportunity! This will be priceless to your family! Make sure you post a link to the finished product! Can't wait to see you guys! Congrats, I know you looked great and did great!
How wonderful!! Hope you'll be able to post it here! And yes you've taught your little ones well!! Great photo!
First, I am sure you will look beautiful. You have a joyful radiance that is not plain no matter what clothes you are wearing my friend. Secondly, I am so excited that they asked y'all to share. I know that your words will have a ripple effect and God is using you to speak to others. How wonderful for Him to use you that way?!
I am blessed to call you friend and cannot wait to see the finished product.
Love,
Kim
P.S. I love what your Mama wrote...yes children are your gift:)
P.S. Plain was a good choice too because years later you won't look dated...just sayin;)
I think that is so great! Can't wait to see the finished product!
Can you send me a mssg at
theocaincrew@aol.com and tell me where you got all of Weleighs headband bows you used before hair.
We are possibly LOI for a little one this weekend and she has very little hair and I am a bow girl. I have looked but just can't find ones as cute as the ones you bought. Thanks!
That is wonderful! I can hardly wait to see the finished product!! I'm in awe that Wesleigh stayed put during the interview! Bree would have been hanging over the banister screaming "Mommmmma, what are you doing? Momma....who is that down there? Momma....I gotta use the bathroom and so on! The camera man would have screamed CUT like at least 5-6x's! That child of mine can ask a bazillion questions!!
This is very exciting! Looking forward to the finished product. Loved that your boys snapped some pics - what a fun treasure!
That is so exciting! I can't wait to see the video! What a great way to inspire others to adopt the way you did us..:)
Love it..
Plain is good..
