NOW! Your mission, should you choose to take it, is to run around your house like a crazy person trying to accomplish multiple tasks during the 1 hr and 15 minute respite from your 2 year old. Yes, only 1 hr. and 15 minutes...well, it could be shorter, but definitely not longer! These tasks include, but are not limited to, vaccuuming your discusting floor, dusting, emptying (and refilling) the dishwasher, folding the piles of clean clothes, washing the piles of dirty clothes, cleaning your bathroom, well...you get the idea. You might even consider unpacking and putting away the carry-on from China that is still in the living room...
...or taking down the "welcome home Wesleigh" sign that has been hanging..well, since you got home (3 months ago!)...
...better yet, you might even decide to take down the Christmas wreath that is still hanging over your living room mantle!!!
Should you choose not to accept this mission, Well...just go on your back porch with your computer and a glass of sweet tea.
Whatever you decide...HURRY...you only have 56 minutes left!!!

LOL!!!!
Know just what you mean!!! Hurry or NOT! Take the sweet tea and rest!!! :)
THAT is funny!
It's summer....stay on the back porch...housework is for fall and winter!
LOL! That is greatness. Well, from the looks of your pictures, it appears you have been concentrating on the most important things of all...your FAMILY. Housework will be there tomorrow or the next day, but TODAY is the perfect day to make great memories that will last a lifetime. Enjoy!
Girl you crack me up!! And hey, at this point you are almost back to the halfway mark of Christmas being closer to coming back around again. I say leave the wreath, go back to China and adopt another kid and name her/him Wesleigh and the luggage...welll...take it with you I guess. See! You're already ahead of the ball game! All packed up for adoption #2!! Yay you!
I'm all for sweet tea and enjoying this gorgeous weather! (and your 1 hour and 15 minutes!!)

I say the back porch is the way to go. Relax when you can and give yourself 15 min blocks throughout the day to tackle some of those things on your to do list. Enlist the boys and see how much you all can get done in 15 min! Enjoy your quiet time, you deserve AND need it!
yep that is everyday for me!!! Run as fast as you can, and try to squeeze something fun in there too:) that timeclock is getting shorter and shorter at my house lately....not sure what is up with that, but I was having a hard enough time with the little time I had~LOL Oh well there is always next Christmas you can tell youself.
LOVE IT..
Looks like life is GOOD..
Love you ..
Go out and buy new clothes (and dishes!)
Leave the wreath in situ (we're nearly half way to Christmas anyway)as for the dust...say it's a new trend in country accents and it's deliberate!:)
Hahaha! Love it! I think there are other things more important than a clean house and being organized. You'll get caught up eventually when you have time....and if you don't oh well:0) I love your blog, I don't comment much but thought I would say a quick "hi"
Hugs,
Kim
You are hilarious... I have been cleaning all day so if it wasn't so hot i would definately take the porch route!!! Enjoy your free time! :)
A clean house is soooo over-rated! Enjoy the sweet tea and computer time :)
Kicking my heels up and enjoying a sweet tea right with ya!! LOL!!!
I understand!!!! That is so funny
I am so glad I am not the only one....My house and life is in a similar state and Kate doesn't even nap. I keep saying that when she is in kindergarten I will be so organized and my house will be immaculate.
Have a GREAT weekend.
Ya know it IS May...in a few months the wreath will be back in season. I say just keep it up! Ha!
Hi, I'm not sure how I ended up here on your blog, but I'm glad I did! We're a family of three sons and an adopted princess too- ours is from Guatemala, though we had been en route to China previously. I was just looking through your posts and had to say how beautiful your family is! It made me realize that I need to get our family pics done asap! :)
And funny post, too- I enjoyed it a lot!
Ok, that is too funny!!
How did you know that my carry on backpack is still on my bedroom floor and my Christmas wreath is still hanging above a window!?
Go ahead, Jenn- have a glass of tea and sit on your porch with the computer. I grabbed a book and sat on the couch (because we have to do that in Kansas until June). : )
You just made my day!
Stacy
This is what I do when my 4 year old is at her speech class for 1.5 hours 3 days a week - run around like crazy getting done things that are so hard to do with her underfoot! Next year she goes to 1/2 day 4 year old kindergarten. I have big plans for getting caught up on things around here. :-) I've been steadily getting more and more behind since my 6 year old came home from China 6 years ago and it's progressively gotten worse.
Love reading about your family though I rarely comment. Have a great week!
Being caught us is just a mirage. Sit back and enjoy the quiet.
hahaha too funny...
