Look What I Can Do!

Wesleigh is learning new things every single day, so I thought I'd document what things she is doing right now. Tomorrow will be 1 month since we've been home. I can't even believe it's been that long! It is absolutely amazing how much she has learned in 1 month. As I have said before, I think she understands everything I say. The other day we were in the kitchen and I asked her to get me a diaper which is in her closet. Sure enough, she went to her room and came back a few minutes later with the diaper. I was impressed that she knew what I was saying, but also that she remembered what she was doing when she got to her room.
Here are the words Miss Wesleigh can say. She adds new ones every day:
up, uh oh, yay, Braden, dada, mama, bye, hey, baby (says like BayBay, so cute), blanket (sounds like baybay too), night night, ow, go (as in "where'd he go" with her hands raised), ball.
I think she was trying to say "please" and "I love you" but we haven't quite gotten them down.

Here are some things she has learned to do:
give kisses
shakes head yes and no
raises hands and says "uh oh"
follows directions
jump up and down in her crib when she's mad
leans her head forward when she wants her bib off
claps her hands and says "yay"
cheers for her brothers when they play baseball!
dances with her daddy
helps put laundry away ;)
squeals when someone chases her
hugs her baby and gives it kisses
collect things around the house and put it in bags
gives "sweet eyes"
pose for the camera (the pics above were this morning)
waves and says "hey" when someone comes in (especially the boys from school)
She came up to me at bedtime and said "night night", got her blanket and her baby and was ready for bed.

I know there are more, but I can't think of them. She is amazing.

Oh My!! Wesleigh has been so busy! And she is so clever! Not just cute :) Most of us are one or the other - not sweet Wesleigh Jane!

One of my favorite things to do now is to look back over that first year that Mya was home & read the things that she did and the things she learned. It was such a different fog than it was with the boys and I am so glad I had the blog to serve as a journal of that time!

Keep it up! (and p.s. that learning to pose for the camera is priceless!)

Jen,

She is such a smart little girl. I love that she says "hey" when someone walks in the room. That is just like her Mama. You always say "Hey" in your beautiful Southern drawl:)

Wesleigh is perfectly precious and brilliant and I am glad she is doing so well!!!

Have a GREAT weekend. Lots of love,
Kim
