All of you with multiple boys can relate to this, I'm sure. But in case those of you with girls ever wondered what it is like to go out to eat with these creatures, I wanted to share this with you. We went to eat tonight, and the whole time the boys were giggling, dancing, fighting over bread, walking around the table, etc. etc. By the time we got in the car, I thought Richard and I would both lose our minds. The second we were in the car, Richard announced, "There are four rules for the ride home: No farting, no burping, no touching, no talking!" It made me giggle and think of you moms with girls who would never think any parent would have to say those words. Boys, gotta love them, or at least survive them!!

That is exactly what we have to say too..
BOYS are Great..
Have a Great Evening..
Oh, how we can relate to that!!!
Amen Sista!
LOL!! Ok, my boys are a bit little yet (4 and almost 2) so I have lots to look forward to! We do many times say the no talking, no touching. But haven't yet had to add the other two sentiments! Ha!
LOL you speak the truth!
Jill :)
I love my boys. Best at making me laugh, no contest!
It's amazing the things that come out of my mouth that I didn't think I would ever have to say.
Boys are great, but very hard on the nerves.
That's funny.....I have a feeling I'm going to deal with that with my two Things! lol
Look at all of that mud! My boys would be in heaven. If our families got together they would be lost out hunting in the bogs together for days. You and I would have something better to do of course : )
Yes, we have very similar rules which are usually only half followed. Eli at age 3 is proud to announce all of his burps and toots as he now call them.
Sounds familiar! Just wait until that sweet little girl joins your family and starts laughing at the brothers when they do this!!
Being the mom of 3 boys also, I can certainly relate!! ;)
Melissa
You hit the nail right on the head!! At least now that I have a girl, she will say excuse me, the boys just laugh and rank themselves. lol
Mom to 4 awesome boys and 1 China princess

so funny ... i say those things all the time in the car .. my husband yells, "NO GOING BUCK IN THE CAR" .. just as a warning they will rub off highly on your little girl ... my princess in a pink dress can burp, toot,& wrestle while in a pink tutu! i am sure princess Maggie isn't far behind ...
Oh yes, now that I have both I can say...there is definitely a difference:)
Kim
Oh wait the other night I said.. I love you to Kate and her repsonse was I love BURP! It was accidental but we laughed SO hard!
Chloe and Jacob are constantly wrestling, sitting on top of one another, drives me bananas...I say no touching, at least once a day. I try to always talk about personal space... ha.
have a great weekend!
Oh this sounds familiar!
And we would let you crash! ;)
Oh that is our home to a tee!!! My boys are rude and genuine to the core BOYS. They can behave when they have to but generally we are notihng but farts and burps and all the nice stuff that goes along with boys. Glad to see Im not alone!
Chrsity :)
Yep. Been there. Done that!
So, my boys are now teaching Katie some of the "finer" things in life -- only they're prettying up the descriptions for her -- farts are now called "butt burps." Imagine a 2 year old girl saying "butt burp" and you'll have some idea of what's in your future!
Love, love, love my boys!
I laughed out loud on this one Jennifer! Too funny!
As a mother of two boys and a Dad who sometimes joins in on those "rules", LOL! It is so true and some of my friends with just girls--just don't get it!
How in the world is the cleaning going? I have tried so hard to do this and it never works. You have inspired me to try again. My boys share a room and a bathroom so this could really be interesting.
Love your blog!
