I Can't Stand It!

I'm thinking I might lose my mind before we get to China! The waiting is awful! My agency is submitting my questions sometime this week, so hopefully, we'll get some updated size information and possibly pictures. That would be heaven!

This is my LAST week teaching! Whoo Hoo!!! I am so glad I did it, but boy am I glad I'll be done! I'll be working on Wesleigh's room as soon as I'm done. I can't wait!

Has anyone gone to China in Jan, Feb or March? I know Chinese New Year is in the middle of Feb, so I'm sure we won't be going then. I'm wondering how cold it is. I'm a southern girl, you know...I'm a little worried!

The picture at the top is just because I can't stand to post without pictures. it's Cade during football season. I can't wait until I can share Wesleigh's with you.

We traveled in late February/ early March. The year we went, Beijing was very, VERY cold. The day we walked along the Great Wall? Was one of only three times that I've seen my husband don a hat and gloves. Nanchang in Jiangxi was also chilly, but it was rainy and windy the week we were there. When you get your travel dates, check out Wunderground. Click on the cities you will travel to, then scroll down looking for the historical data box. Type in the dates and just switch the years for the last two or three years to see typical temperatures.

We traveled in December, so I don't think the 'real' cold had set in yet (though we took our winter coats...blech on the packing!) The weather forecaster was VERY accurate. We just checked it before we packed (which we waited until close to travel to do - a whole 'nother post!) In retrospect, we were thankful we packed our warm stuff...that's what checking luggage is for - so you can be comfortable!!

We traveled in January of this year. We were in Guangzhou the entire time though (well, in Hong Kong for a few days also) so I can only tell you what it was like there. The weather was GREAT!! 50's and 60's and no rain. We also looked at the 15 day forecast online before we left and it was pretty accurate.

I love your baby girl's name and I can't wait to see and read more about her!

Oh Jennifer! I have been so out of the loop in the blogging world. I haven't updated my own since Aug, I think. But a little voice in my head told me to check in on you today and boy am I glad I listened! YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER!!! I am just so happy for you and can't wait to see pictures! I will be checking more regularly now. ;-) Blessings to you and your family!

LOVE the name too!

We traveled in March to Beijing, Nanchang and Guangzhou. It was three different temps lol! Beijing was cold but not frigid ... the other places were more like home :)

I with Jill ... I think these two Mississippi girls will have to road trip to see you before your trip to China and check out Miss Wesleigh's room :)
