This and That

I've been around, even though it's been forever since my last post. It's been pretty much school, home, repeat around here, except for baseball starting yesterday!! I am so excited about that! We have a few weeks before the games start, so the boys will be practicing hard. I have missed all the baseball parents from Braden's team, and am so happy to see them again.

I think my computer is about to die. It is constantly flashing all kinds of crazy warnings and stuff. I made sure all my pictures were backed up on disks, and I'm just crossing my fingers. If I knew I could go buy a laptop right now, I would just finish it off myself! I can't even access my blog (or yours) from school, so I would be SOL!!

Cade has been working on his valentines for a few days now. I bought him some candy valentines to give out, but someone else in his class mentioned they had bought the same kind. There was no way Cade was going with the same valentines! He decided to make his own, and he made one for every child in his class. He then taped the candy to the valentine he made. He made an extra special valentine for his first love...his teacher! He used a red poster board, and it's adorable.

Bryce has been extra happy these days. There are three french horn players in his band. He is second chair, so he sits right between the other boys. For a while now, he's been complaining about how mean the boys are and how they cuss constantly. It drives him crazy. Well, last Wed. night, Bryce saw one of the boys at his jr. high church group. This week, he found out that this boy got baptized at church over the weekend, and he has completely changed. No more cussing, etc. Bryce is beside himself happy, and I am thrilled for him. It now puts him in the majority, and overpowers the other boy who is still so ugly. This is huge for Bryce.

I finally had to tell Braden that he couldn't run up to me everytime he sees me at school to give me a hug. He runs out of every line he's in to come and hang on me. Honestly, it drives me crazy!! I love him dearly, but can't stand for him to be hanging on me, especially when he's supposed to be with his class. His love language is "personal touch", and this is a hard one for me. I'm not a touchy-feely person, so I have to try really hard to make sure he gets what he needs. He is so unbelievably sweet, and I would never want to discourage that in him. We're trying to find a balance ;)

Hope everyone has been doing great. Unfortunately, I seem to be behind on reading all my blogs (another reason I need that laptop!) I hope to catch up soon.

Sorry to hear about your computer...it sounds like spyware. I had this happen to me a couple of months ago and I had to have our IT guy basically debug it for me. Once he did it, it was good as new!!

Sounds like you have all been good, but busy....take care and enjoy all the bball games:)

Good luck with your computer! Our desktop is about to die too. Ugh!

The Valentine's are so cute. I feel so lame this year. I'm sending in treats for the parties, but other than that, the boys are just sticking a lollipop on their cards...sad, I know.

Great to see you back!

I'm way behind on catching up with blogs, too! You're new look is great! Chinese New Year pictures were very sweet and looked like you guys had a good time. Praying your Chinababy comes home SOON!

I can relate to Braden...I haven't read the love language book yet but I KNOW mine is personal touch. I drive everyone crazy in this household...I will even hug perfect strangers if they look like they need one....wonder if this is why we are always sick???

Great valentines....sorry about your computer:(

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one not a fan of the hugging. And I totally miss the days of receiving valentines from my students. Your boys are so adorable (but tell them I said handsome).

Too funny about Braden running up to you all the time. You would think by his age that it would no longer be cool to hug mom but I guess not-- my ethan sstill will hang on me when I am in his class and he is 10. Sounds like you are keeping yourself busy. Hoping your computer doesnt crash like ours did a month ago. We replaced it with one of those tiny little Dell Mini's. They are 9 inches small and just hte cutest thing. I really like it and I can take it wherever. Check them out and you can get a really good deal on them if you go to the Dell outlet-- I think, www.delloutlet.com REally cool little computer!

I cannot access blogs at work either, however, I have found that I AM able to access Bloglines, and do look at them from time to time when I get a chance. Plus, a great thing about that is they let you know who has updated their blog so you don't have to go through them all.
