Signs of Baseball, and a Big Trip

There is one, sure fire way to know it's baseball season at our house...laundry!! I have been spoiled this winter because the boys weren't playing sports and when they went hunting, Richard washed their clothes at the camp. Today, it became very evident that we have entered another season :) I think my laundry has doubled. I'm not complaining, though. I am so excited that baseball season is here. Tomorrow is supposed to be a gorgeous day and we get to spend it outside at baseball practice! And no, I'm not being sarcastic...I really love it that much!

One other way to know, we ate fast food for a few dinners last week. I HATE spending money on those empty calories, but it's hard when you're running from one end of town to another. I am hoping to pack sandwiches this week to avoid the french fries.

We are also getting ready for a big trip next week. Down here, the kids get out of school for Mardi Gras. People who live here usually use the vacation time to go skiing or go to Disn*y W*rld. We have decided to take a trip to an orphanage in Mexico! We are very excited about it. The opportunity just kind of came up a couple of weeks ago, but we can't wait. I can't wait for the boys to see what it's like in other countries and understand how blessed they are. They are so spoiled, just because they live here and have two parents who take care of them and love them. I don't want them to take that for granted. I went on two missions trips to Mexico when I was younger, and I can't wait to go back!
Before we leave town, we are going to the first home LSU baseball game Friday night. We are especially excited about this game because it's in the new stadium. It should be lots of fun, and hopefully, I'll have some really cute pictures.

Nowadays kids just don't understand how they have it :) I would love to do something like that someday..Can't wait to hear all about it.

I cannot wait to see & hear all about your up-coming trip. My parents were missionaries for 5 months my kindergarten year. Every once in a while I get out my pictures & think about what a difference we made in those 5 months in a strange country. One of these days I am going back to see if the church we built is still there. Enjoy!

What's better than baseball season?! And you are in baseball country! My nephew is a huge LSU baseball fan & attends numerous games every year. I wouldn't be surprised if he's in attendance for their home opener also. Have fun & take lots of pictures.

I cannot WAIT to hear about your mission trip....maybe when we move there...you could come and do some work with us too! I am praying that there is something I can do there to help with orphans.

Glad baseball is back...it is a sure sign of Spring!

Oh, I'm so jealous that you're starting baseball already!! We have to wait until the snow is gone. It's going to be bittersweet this year with my oldest not being able to play because of his elbow surgery. Like you guys, we live and breath baseball. :)

How awesome that you all are going on a mission trip together. Looking forward to hearing all about the great things God is going to do while you are there.
