A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Just in case you got the impression that everything is always rosey over here, I thought I'd make sure you knew the truth! It's been an Alexander kind of day. I used to love to read this book to my kids because it shows that everyone has a bad day every once in a while. I guess today is mine! Mondays are never great, but getting up for work on Monday has been especially challenging. Today was even worse... that has been the tone of the day all the way 'till now. I am sitting here waiting for Bryce to finish a math sheet that he had for homework over the weekend (I really want to be in the bathtub). He did the sheet yesterday, but failed to ask me to check it for him... he failed it...miserably. I thought we were making great progress in his math, but I am so mad at him for this I can't even stand it. It is so ridiculous to fail a homework sheet when all you have to do is ask for help! He is now grounded from anything but his math book until Thursday, when he has a really big math test. God help us!!

Thanks for helping me like I may be normal. My boys are trying their hardest to destroy this house (not really, but it feels like it) so I had a glass of wine before dinner!

Does he have some learning disabilities? Hang on, take a really deep breath, maybe wait until tomorrow to deal with this. Rewind. Remind yourself of your school goals and your relationship with him goals. How do they get met here.

There will better days! LOVE this book!
A big hug to you! I homeschooled and know how these days feel!

It's a good thing that we only have those bad days every so often. Hope the math gets better. Wish him well for the test on Thursday.

By the way, love the new look of the blog!

I completely understand. We go through this kind of stuff too. Usually it is huge projects put off until the last minute. Hang in there.

Hang in there!
I think they need to write a new book, with the similar theme about a week that just wouldn't go right! I had one this week where I just couldn't get anything right or do anything fast enough! Nothing major, but just frustrating! I hope your week improved!!!
