I bought a gingerbread house kit a few weeks back with the intention of doing it with the boys before the Christmas party. Well, that didn't happen, even though they begged me every single day to do it. I knew I needed to do it in the morning when I had lots of energy and patience left;) I didn't want to be yelling at them in frustration while we're trying to do a fun Christmas activity! Yesterdy was the perfect day because we had an extra snow day. I even ended up with a couple extra helpers for the day. We all really had a good time, and I think it came out pretty cute.
You'll never guess what I decided to do with them after this! We went to Chuck E. Ch**se. I guess having them running around a place that wasn't my house was more appealing than staying home. It wasn't bad because there was hardly anyone there. It sure beat school ;)

Your house turned out so great!!! Ours is perched on a bed of fake snow in the middle of my dining room table! :) You are a brave soul taking those kids to CC!
It turned out great!
Very cute g-bread house. Last year after Chrsitmas the boys set up a ramp and rode their bikes over the houses to smash them...very festive!

They did a fantastic job on the gingerbread house! What a fun thing for them to do together. We recently did our gingerbread house as well and I let Mallory totally decorate it by herself. My OCD tendencies tried to kick in but I just let her have at it! LOL!
Love the pics. They do look proud of themselves. LOL
It looks so cute. I am sure that Grace was telling those boys exactly how to do it! That's what girls are for to keep the boys in line:0
