While I was attending a tea party today, I asked the girls if I could video them reading me a book.  It ended up being one of the cutest videos I have :)  Wesleigh's is a little long, but here it is, in case you want to watch:


Gracie ended up reading me the same story. It was funny to see the differences between the two of them :) Gracie's got cut in 2 because I ran out of room on my phone!

Four is Fabulous!

I have to say...I think 4 is pretty fabulous!  It's something about how their language develops and everything that seems to come out of their mouth is absolutely hysterical.  I think because Gracie has only been home a year, she is a little behind in this area...but not by much!  Yesterday, Gracie fell asleep and I saw an opportunity to video Wesleigh by herself.  There are some words that I just wanted to get her pronunciation recorded...SO cute!  I will do the same for Gracie, but I need to find some time when Wesleigh is not around.  Wesleigh would sit here and tell her what to say the entire time!!

Of Course...

We had a little photo shoot yesterday, just because...I love this outfit!! (the dress and leggings are from Hann@ Anders0n, the sweater is from Target)
My main goal with this video was to catch Wesleigh saying "of course" on camera. She says it ALL the time, and always in context. I was trying to figure out where she picked it up from, because I might use it every once in a while, but not all the time. We were driving yesterday and I was listing to Belle (for the millionth time). All of a sudden I realized that they say "of course" constantly! So cute!

I was asked where I got her little kitchen. Here's the link. I have to say...I love it! Delivered for way under $200 and it's adorable. It seems to be made really well too. I love that there is so much space to store her "food"!

Also, I've been asked if we're chasing a specific child. We have not identified a child yet. There is someone who has caught my eye, but I need to get logged in first. Our goal is to find a sister for Wesleigh who is the same school age. They will grow up as virtual twins. I figure, if I'm already driving one to dance, I might as well bring two!!

Perspective

It's funny how your perspective on things change as your situation changes. I remember coming home with Cade (#3) and all of a sudden anyone with only 2 kids who complained about being busy drove me crazy! Fact was, until that moment, I thought having two children was busy too. After Cade, having 2 seemed like a picnic.

Well, the same thing seems to have happened again. Wesleigh and I are leaving town for a week (more on that later). Seven months ago, I would have thought that leaving Richard to deal with all 3 boys for an entire week would be huge. Now, I think it sounds like a vacation!! Sure, he'll be busy toting kids from here to there but he won't have to give one bath, change one diaper or buckle anyone into a carseat. I know they'll all miss us, but truth is, they'll enjoy the break. And guess what...I'm going to enjoy the break from stinky football uniforms, football practices, carpool, and homework!

So about this trip...I have been looking forward to this trip for months!! Wesleigh and I are going to meet her and her for a few days at the beach. These women have become two of my very closet friends and I can't wait to spend some time with them and their precious girls. Diana and I have never even met in person!! I don't expect we'll stop talking the entire time we're there!

Tonight, I pulled out another new nightgown. Once again, Wesleigh about lost her mind over it! She couldn't wait to show everyone. I decided to get a little video of her. Since she'll be meeting alot of new friends next week, we've been working on saying their names, so you'll hear that too. She has the sweetest little voice you've ever heard!! (Please don't judge her hair..we were straight out of the tub :)

Need Eat!

You might be tired of seeing video, but everyone is always asking me how her language is coming along. This video is the first time she really used the word "no" like a 2 year old. I was trying to get her to say "need eat" like she was before I got the camera, but you know how that goes ;)

Lord, help us!

What about that hair?!?! Someone actually complimented me on her "haircut" the other day and wondered how we got her to sit still long enough for it to be cut in such a cute way. Seriously? Oh well, it could be worse, and I'm sure it will be before it's better. We still always wear our bows, but not around the house and sometimes when we're outside, it's just TOO hot!
