This would have been me yesterday...at least on the inside. I had a smile on my face all day that couldn't be wiped off. School officially doesn't end here until Friday, but I had 2 days of vacation time left at the end, so I used it! I just slept 'till 8:45 and made my bed for the first time since baseball season started. We also made the decision that I will not be going back next year. Being a computer lab teacher might be the most boring thing I've ever done. I love teaching, but this had nothing to do with teaching except that you deal with children. I have been trying to decide if I wanted to go back to school to renew my teaching certificate (6 hours), but in the end, decided not to. With China still out there, and the plan to change to the special needs program. I didn't want to work my butt off doing all of that for only one year. I think I might be able to take a maternity leave position in the fall. That would be perfect.
First on the agenda for summer: clean the laundry room! I should take a picture of it for you. Maybe I'll do a before and after. I would be too embarrassed if I couldn't show you a clean pic too. Of course, the sun is shining bright today, so the plans for the laundry room might have to wait ;) Oh, well...there's plenty of time for that!
Well, I'm off to enjoy our first day of summer!

I'm so happy for you and your decision. I hope overall it makes you happy because that is what really matters! Our kids don't get out until June 4th..if they're behaved then I'm ready..if not I might take them back during the first two days :)

We're rejoicing that summer is here as well! My boys just finished school today.
I didn't know you had decided to definitely switch to the SN program? This is wonderful though! Aaron told me that he and your dad had a conversation about it while they were in Dallas together...but I just assumed you guys were still in the consideration stage. I'm probably not an expert, but I'd be glad to answer any questions if you have some.
Are you going to be at the Space and Rocket Center this summer? We have a membership there now so let me know if you are and I'd love to meet you there.
